What is Confidentiality

Confidentiality is one of the most important details in the therapeutic relationship. It's a paramount detail when you come into the office, knowing you can share without fear of anyone else finding out.

Though we pride ourselves in upholding confidentiality, there are specific times when we are bound by laws to break confidentiality.

Per Washington State Administrative Code (WAC) 246-924-363, confidentiality may only be broken under specific circumstances including:

- Client signing a Release of Information (written consent)

- Information regarding abuse of a child or a vulnerable adult

- Imminent harm to self or others
